Welcome to SYNAPSE!

Through the use of the latest technology in human patient simulators, SYNAPSE has the capability of enhancing knowledge acquisition, skill proficiency, and crisis management expertise for the diverse educational programs at CMU Healthcare. Patient scenarios can be designed for each discipline, and customized based on program objectives and the skill level of participants.
SYNAPSE is equipped with three different human patient simulators, including a maternal birthing simulator and neonatal simulator. SYNAPSE also has two laparoscopy simulators, as well as multiple static task trainers.
