Rheumatology Services

CMU Healthcare is pleased to announce the addition of Ali Karrar, MD, MRCP to the Department of Internal Medicine.   Dr. Karrar is an accomplished Internist and Rheumatologist. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Khartoum in Sudan. He has completed a Fellowship in Internal Medicine/Rheumatology in Saudi Arabia and a Fellowship in Rheumatology in the United Kingdom.

Here in the US he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Hurley Medical Center through Michigan State University, where he was awarded the Dr. R. Roderic Abbott, Distinguished Resident Award. He then completed his Fellowship in Rheumatology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL though Rush University.

Dr. Karrar is certified by the American Board of Rheumatology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Internal Medicine. He is also on staff at the Michigan Rheumatology Group in Grand Blanc.
