When: May 20, 2008, 7:30am to 2:00pm.

Deadlines

   Abstract submission deadline: April 15, 2008 @ 5pm
   Data Analysis deadline: April 1, 2008 @ 5:00pm
   PowerPoint presentation deadline: May 1st, 2008 @ 5pm
   Poster printing deadline: May 5th, 2008 @ 5pm

IMPORTANT: If you need assistance with your project, presentation or poster, as of December 2007, all assistance requests must be processed through our online system. Please visit the following web page: http://www.synergymedical.org/research/index.html and click on the link/type of assistance that better fits your needs.  Your request will be sent online to our Department and one of our researchers will contact you to process your request and set up an appointment if necessary.

Authors: Enter the presenting author’s information first, and other authors. Please include only the names, no further information is necessary.

Faculty Sponsor: Each study is required to have a faculty sponsor listed.   Your abstract will not be accepted without this information. Please include only the name, no further information is necessary.

IRB Approval: All studies must have previous approval from an Institutional Review Board (St.Mary’s, Covenant or Synergy). You will be unable to submit your abstract without this information. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate as a prove that you have completed the Human Participant Protection Education online tutorial http://cme.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/learning/humanparticipant-protections.asp

Project Description: Limited to 250 words, 12 point Arial font. It must be formatted according to the following guidelines:

For a Case study: 1-Introduction; 2- Patient description; 3-Results or intervention; and 4- Conclusion.  Click here for a sample.

For a Basic Research/Clinical Study: 1-Objectives and background of the study; 2- Population under study and Methods; 3- Results; 4-Conclusions and Discussion.  Click here for a sample.

Final Submit: Once you have filled in all of the required information and are ready to submit your abstract, click the “Final Submit” button.



Note:  You will not be able to edit your information after submitting your abstract..

Submission Deadline: The abstract submission process will close on April15, 2008. No more abstracts will be accepted after this deadline, NO EXCEPTIONS.


ALL ORIGINAL RESEARCH PROJECTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS ORAL PRESENTATIONS. 


ALL CASE STUDIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AS POSTER PRESENTATIONS. 

ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE ACCEPTED FOR PRESENTATION.
