Department of Research & Quality

Statement

The purpose of the Department of Research & Quality is two-fold.  First, related to research activities; we assist students, residents, faculty and community physicians with their research endeavors and to facilitate scholarly activity.

Some of these activities include:

• Facilitating investigative projects by students, residents, and physician;
• Designing projects and analyzing research;
• Demonstrating the important role research plays in improving the quality of medicine through an annual, community-wide research day;
• Assisting faculty, residents, and students with manuscript submissions.

Second, the department coordinates corporate wide activities related to quality assurance and improvement. This area of activity is currently under development and we anticipate greater involvement over the coming months.
