  • Edward Jackson, M.D. and Laurie Dazarow, R.N.,C., appeared on the television show "ACCESS MID-MICHIGAN" to promote Ambulatory Geriatric Evaluation Service (AGES). "ACCESS MID-MICHIGAN" is a production of the Center for Independent Living of Mid-Michigan. The show aired in August 1999 and was distributed to seven cable television stations throughout Mid-Michigan.

  • Delicia Pruitt, MD, volunteer community faculty and former faculty and chief resident was recognized as one of the Pfizer Faulty Award winners for 2007-08 (one of 15 in the nation!)
  • Edward A. Jackson, MD Outstanding Clinician Award Michigan State College of Human Medicine, 2003
  • Saginaw News "Best of the Best" 2002 Award for Best Family Physician - Dr. Mary Miller
  • Matt Gammons, M.D., was selected as a Meade Johnson Award winner for 2001. He was the only Michigan resident selected for this award. He also was awarded a Resident Community Outreach award at the recent National Meeting for Resident and Students. In addition, Dr. Gammons was selected to be a Wyeth-Ayerst Resident reporter for the AAFP's scientific assembly in Atlanta, GA, 2001.
  • Edward Jackson, M.D., was elected President of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians on July 28, 2000.
  • Tina Tanner, M.D., has been named a top senior resident in "colposcopy and the treatment of lower genital tract disease" by the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr .Tanner was recognized by the society in December 1999.
  • Eugene Seals, M.D., Assistant Director, received the 1999 African American Health Institute Award. The award was presented to Dr. Seals on October 22 at State Senator Raymond M. Murphy's African American Health Conference. Dr. Seals received the award for his tireless dedication and commitment to improving the health of the African American community.
  • Mary Miller, M.D., received the 2000 Society of Teachers in Resident Teacher Award. This award is given annually to residents demonstrating the interest, ability, and commitment to educating peers and students in a residency program. Dr. Miller graduated from the Family Practice Residency Program in June 2000 and is now in private practice in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
  • Edward Jackson, M.D., Associate Residency Director, received the Outstanding Community Faculty Award from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Jackson was honored at a banquet in East Lansing on April 22, 1999.
  • Christopher Rhody, D.O., a Family Practice resident graduate, received first place at the 9th Annual Synergy Medical Research Day in May 1999. His project was on "Variability in Code Selection Using the 1995 and 1998 HFCA Documentation Guidelines for Office Services".
  • Elizabeth Lincoln, M.D., a third-year resident, received the 1999 Mead Johnson Award Winner for excellence among Residents. This national, prestigious award carries a $2,000 scholarship.
  • Steve Xu, M.D. and Tina Tanner, M.D. received the Synergy Medical Department of Excellence in Grand Rounds Awards for 2000
  • Christopher Rhody, D.O., a Family Practice resident graduate, was awarded the Larry S. Kelly Award for demonstrating compassionate care and service to patients and fellow residents.
