EM
residents on national committees
"This past year, Synergy residents have had a large presence
in national emergency organizations. Three of our residents
were elected to national committees. Karlis Austrins was a
member of the Federal Government Affairs committee helping
to monitor and assess legislative and regulatory issues related
to access, crowding, liability, quality, and reimbursement.
Jim Cogbill participated in the Medico-Legal committee. And
Aaron Smith is a member of the Reimbursement committee that
analyzes and make srecommendations on the reimbursement environment
and challenges for emergency physicians. Aaron was selected
to be a member of the committee again this year. We are encouraged
by the future interest of our residents in emergency leadership
helping to mold the future of emergency medicine."
