On September 27, 2005, fifteen Saginaw EM physicians joined more than 4,000 emergency physicians and other emergency care health professionals to participate in The Rally at the US Capitol. Gathering on the Capitol's West Lawn, the residents and faculty did their part to encourage Congress to address critical issues facing emergency medicine and the US health care system.  The residents also went to meet with Michigan Senator Stabenow to personally convey their stories about why change is needed.  Some residents brought their families to see the nation's Capitol and the political process in action.
