Synergy continues to dominate MedWAR!

Synergy residents continue to dominate the annual Midwest MedWAR. The MedWAR web site states that, “MedWAR is short for Medical Wilderness Adventure Race. It is a unique event that combines wilderness medical challenges with the growing sport of adventure racing. The race was also developed as a tool for teaching and testing the knowledge, skills, and techniques of wilderness medicine, and for promoting teamwork and collegiality among competitors.”

Since 2002, Midwest MedWAR, hosted in southern Michigan, has grown to about 40 participating teams. The race incorporates running, biking, canoeing, orienteering, climbing, equipment preparation and wilderness medicine testing. Since the inception of MedWAR, Synergy residents have won the race nearly every year. This year our two teams finished in 1st and 3rd place.
