Saginaw
offers its citizens the best of both worlds - big city assets
and a small town atmosphere. The area offers extremely affordable
housing with one of the lowest cost of living rates in the
nation.
Saginaw is located along the I-75 corridor in the heart of Michigan. The
tri-cities - Saginaw, Midland and Bay City have a combined population of
400,000 and Saginaw's medical community has a service population of about
750,000.
Saginaw
is ideally located in one of the most beautiful states in the nation.
If you are an outdoors enthusiast, you need not look far to find
outstanding golf and ski resorts. Saginaw County alone has 75 parks
and more than two dozen golf courses. Michigan also has about 50
downhill ski areas, more than most other states. Six rivers in Saginaw
County provide 160 miles of waterway for boating, fishing and other
water sports. Michigan touches on four of the five Great Lakes, and
boasts more than 3,000 miles of shoreline, more than any other inland
state.
Saginaw has several
strong school systems, which are the result of experienced teachers,
low student/faculty ratios and concerned communities. Higher
education is available locally at Saginaw Valley State University,
Delta College, Davenport and Northwood University. Saginaw is
only 90 minutes away from Michigan State University, the University
of Michigan, Central Michigan University and Alma College.
Cultural activities
abound in Saginaw whether it's at the Midland Center for the
Arts, Saginaw Event Center, Anderson Cultural Center or any of
our more than 30 performing arts groups. Because Saginaw is a
regional hub for Northeast Central Michigan, the shopping opportunities
are more than ample. We have several malls, including the Outlets
at Birch Run, which feature more than 200 stores.
Saginaw County
is a great place to live, work and raise a family.
